Happy morning

How happy can a morning be when you are embroidering and the bell rings and it's the postman saying "¡Encomienda para Karen Barbé!" (my favourite words) and you get the most lovely package coming from France? Well, wonderful Céline Sathal sent me this marvelous gift – a piece of Savon de Marseille wrapped in an old linen. I can't think of a more perfect choice for me: textiles and something for my long pampering bathroom times. Thank you, Céline!

Yesterday I discovered this perforated paper for embroidery (it makes me so angry that I can't find all the craft supplies I'd like here in Chile) and I had to do my own version punching a cardboard with a sharp needle. Very fun to do and even more to embroider it.

I love that doll face so much and have started collecting vintage savon de marseille soaps. They're getting difficult to find at French fleas but when I have enough I'm going to display them. Everything I love in these photos :)
