Craft Magazines from 1979


Today I shot these old craft magazines before throwing them away. Sadly they are totally ruined since their storage flooded some time ago. These are some of the few pages that survived (can you see the undulated paper?).

FYI Those wheel looms are intended for making Teneriffe lace.

  1. I love that wallpaper in the background of the top photo! I had a complete collection of Golden Hands magazines given to me by my Grandmother. Unfortunately I had to leave them behind when I moved to Australia - too expensive to ship. Wish i'd managed to hang onto them though!

  2. I hope that collection is safely kept somewhere... didn't you throw them away, did you??? I always wonder how much influence have all these old craft or fashion magazines had in my life as a designer. I remember myself as a girl always flickering through them and marvelling at every page...
